We first opened our doors when we put Casa Rio Sierpe on the rental market Jan,2015. I had a very modest goal of 25 nights booked for the year (lisley's goal was a bit more lofty). We had never done anything like this before, no experience whats so ever in the hospitality business, I am a yacht broker, Lisley is an executive assistant to a CEO of a company, we did not know where to start but we just hoped that we would not screw up to bad (the last thing we wanted to do was to give someone a bad vacation experience). What we did have going for us was the passion to share the magic of Casa Rio Sierpe with the outside world, a fantastic staff (thank you Rayna, Adriana, Ruben and Ronney), years of combined customer service skills between Lisley and my self and a commitment to do it right or not do it at all (Also we spent countless hours reading negative hotel and vacation home reviews and watching "hotel Impossible" so we knew what not to do). Now the year has come and gone and the tally tells the tail; Over 20 guest have come and felt the magic, we are booked solid through the end of March with reservations into June, 13 heart felt, 5 star reviews, our first repeat guest (thank you Susan!) and over 172 nights booked in the first 12 months, that's almost a 50% occupancy level!!! We could not have done this without our fantastic guest, Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for taking a chance on us, THANK YOU!
